EWB-Chesapeake

The Form 501 program application for our upcoming Argentina project was submitted to EWB-USA on September 15. We are now awaiting approval from EWB-USA before beginning to plan for an assessment trip early next year. Thanks to everyone on the Argentina team and particularly Guillermo for pulling this together so quickly!

I will be adding a new page to the website covering the Argentina project soon.  Until then, a copy of the project application can be obtained by clicking here, and a map of the project area is available here.

The Chesapeake Professional Partners will be having their September meeting on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at University of Maryland, College Park in the Civil Conference Room (EGR 1179).  Details for parking and directions are provided here.

During the meeting, John Sankey will be talking about his work with UMD students over the summer on a project in Peru.  We will also be discussing opportunities to get involved with other student projects, the new professional Argentina project, and fundraising ideas.

Additionally, the EWB-USA, UMCP student chapter will be having their first general body meeting right before our professional meeting.  Attached is the meeting flyer.  Please feel free to arrive early and listen to updates on the student chapter’s Peru, Burkina Faso, and Ethiopia projects!
