EWB-Chesapeake

This is a reminder that the EWB-USA, CPP chapter will be having their monthly meeting on Monday, February 8 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at University of Maryland, College Park in the Civil Conference Room (EGR 1179).  Details for parking and building location are provided below.

During the meeting, we will be discussing opportunities to get involved with student projects, the new professional Argentina project, and fundraising ideas.  Bitsat Yohannes, a member of our chapter, will give a presentation on her UN work in Liberia in 2008.  The Argentina project team will have a short meeting following our general chapter meeting to prepare for the February 14 assessment trip application deadline.

Additionally, the EWB-USA, UMCP student chapter will be having their first general body meeting right before our professional meeting.  Please feel free to arrive early and listen to updates on the student chapter’s Peru, Burkina Faso, and Ethiopia projects.  Their meeting will be in EGR 1202 at 5:30 pm.

Parking:  Meeting is in Martin Hall # 088 on the campus map. You can see the building location at http://www.parking.umd.edu/themap/.

There are two parking lot options:
1.)  After 4 pm, free parking lot XX beside the EGR building is available.
2.)  There is a Visitor’s Lot on Paint Branch Drive, across from Building #223 (interactive campus map), the Energy Research Facility, which is a short (5-7 minute) walk to Martin Hall. You will get a parking ticket as you drive in.
NOTE:  If you park anywhere else, please make sure to read the signs before you park.
